Terms and conditions

1. Scope
These terms govern your stay at Casa da Lagoa and apply from the moment a booking is confirmed. By booking, the guest accepts these terms on behalf of everyone included in the stay.
2. Bookings and payment
Bookings are confirmed through the booking engine linked on this site. Payment and cancellation terms are the ones shown at the time of booking.
3. Check-in and check-out
Check-in from 15:00 and check-out until 11:00. For arrivals or departures outside this window, please let us know in advance. We'll do our best to accommodate you.
4. Number of guests
The house is provided for the number of guests agreed at the time of booking. Any occupancy beyond that number must be agreed in advance and may incur an additional fee; we reserve the right to turn away extra occupants who were not previously agreed.
5. Events and parties
Events, parties or celebrations are not permitted without prior authorization. The lakeside garden is available for this purpose on request. Contact us before booking to arrange the details.
6. Pets
Pets are welcome only with prior authorization. Guests are responsible for supervising their pet and for any damage or extra cleaning it causes.
7. Visitors
Guests may receive visitors during the day, provided this doesn't disturb the neighbourhood or exceed the number of people agreed for overnight stays. Guests are responsible for their visitors' conduct on the property.
8. Use of the property and common sense
We ask that the house, garden and surroundings be treated with the same care you would give your own home. We expect common sense when using the spaces and equipment, and no damage to the property or the surrounding nature.
9. Damages
Any damage caused during the stay by the guest, their visitors, or their pet is the guest's responsibility and may be charged accordingly.
10. Liability
Except where required by law, we are not liable for loss, theft or personal injury during the stay. Use of outdoor areas, including the proximity to the lagoon, is at the guest's own risk, particularly where children are present.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Portuguese law, with jurisdiction in the Azores for any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably.
12. Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how it is used, only after a visitor accepts cookies through the banner shown on the site. If declined, no analytics data is collected. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
